Does Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have New Game Plus?
Will Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 have a New Game Plus mode? Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is quickly approaching its release date on PS5, given the popularity of New Game Plus (NG+) on the original game, it’s a relevant question. Here we break down everything you need to know.
The anticipation was finally addressed when James Stevenson, community director at Insomniac Games, confirmed through a tweet that Spider-Man 2 would indeed have a New Game Plus mode. There’s a catch, though: NG+ won’t be available immediately at launch.
“No, we’re working on an update for those features, but they won’t be on day 1.”
–James Stevenson
No, we are working on an update for those features, but they won’t be there on day 1.- James Stevenson (@JamesStevenson) October 17, 2023
Players can take solace in the fact that Insomniac is actively working on an update to introduce this mode shortly after the game’s release.
When will New Game+ be added to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2?
As of this writing, there have yet to be any official announcements about when Spider-Man 2 will have the New Game Plus feature. The original Spider-Man added NG+ six weeks after launch. With this in mind, we should expect Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on PS5 to have a new game added by December 2023.
New Game Plus is a beloved mode that allows players to replay the game from the beginning, equipped with all the skills, abilities, and outfits they unlocked in their previous playthrough. In the Spider-Man titles, this means tackling missions again as a fully-equipped Spidey, which greatly improves replay value.
The game is scheduled for release on October 20, 2023. Read our review and stay tuned for more Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 coverage and guides from Sirus Gaming!

Lords of the Fallen (2023) Stat Soft Limits Guide
In Soulslike games like Lords of the Fallen, soft stat caps can be a serious hindrance when it comes to building your character. These soft limits play a key role in understanding how much you can invest in a given stat as you level up before it no longer gives you as much benefit as before. In this guide, I’ll teach you how soft stat caps work, soft stat cap values, and how to respect your stats for Lords of the Fallen.
What are soft stat limits?
Stat soft caps are certain thresholds on character attributes (stats). Once this threshold is reached, there is a diminishing return for any further improvement of that attribute. If you keep investing points into a stat that has already reached a certain limit, you will start to see diminishing returns. A good example of this would be if you keep raising your Strength stat and it goes beyond the soft limit, where it will no longer deal as much damage to you as before.
Soft limit values for each statistic
Lords of the Fallen’s stats have more of a soft cap, meaning they will continue to give diminishing returns as you continue to invest in them. These are the soft limit values for each statistic:
Vitality (HP):
First soft limit: 20 (up to this point, leveling up provides substantial returns; after this, returns decrease.)
Second flexible limit: 40 (even lower returns).
Third soft limit: 60 (yields decrease further).
Beyond 60, you only gain about 5 points per level up to a maximum of 99. After 99, it’s a hard limit, meaning you can’t go higher.
Resistance (resistance and weight):
First soft limit: 40 (good returns up to this point).
Second flexible limit: 60 (reduced returns).
After 60, returns decline even further. The weight specifically has a soft limit at 40.
Strength, Agility, Radiance, Hell (Offensive statistics):
These stats have soft caps at levels 50 and hard caps at 75.
Early in the game, I encourage players not to focus too much on offensive stats. This is because the benefits of these stats are not as significant until you get weapons with better scaling attributes.
Soft Caps refers to the fact that after reaching a certain point in a stat, you will see reduced benefits from adding more points. You can still continue adding points, but the profits will be less and less. On the other hand, a Hard Cap is the maximum limit for a stat. At this point, adding more points will not give any benefit. Each stat has a hard cap of 99.
While it is possible to maximize these statistics, doing so is a notable commitment. Normally, only players aiming for the maximum level of their characters will achieve this. For certain classes in the game, you would need to get close to level 540 or so to reach the 99 cap on all stats.
How to respect your stats in Lords of the Fallen
To respect your statistics, visit Pieta in the center. Respect requires a Chrysalis of Rebirth for each attempt. Pieta’s services will be available after you defeat her as “Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal” near the entrance to the Skybridge.
Acquire Rebirth Chrysalis by purchasing from Molhu in the Umbral Realm in the center for 8,000 Vigor or by exploring the Axiom and Umbral Realms, although they are a rare find.
Best Strategies to Level Up Stats
By recognizing and respecting these limits, players can optimize their character build and allocate points more efficiently, making the most of their attributes without wasting valuable points:
Prioritize defensive stats early in the game: Endurance It is crucial for resistance and defense. For better survival, it is suggested to prioritize Vitality mainly for greater durability.
The early game won’t benefit much from heavy investments in offensive stats due to limited weapon scaling.
Meet minimum weapons requirements: For weapon requirements, players only need to level up offensive attributes enough to use the desired weapon. Any further level increases should be done cautiously, taking into account the flexible limits.
Players who lean towards fist weapons should consider increasing the strength early on for better damage. Fist weapons scale well with strength.
Statistics attributes and what they do
These are the different types of stat attributes in Lords of the Fallen and what they do for your character build:
Strength – scales with weapons that use Strength, which affects the amount of damage it can deal. Improves overall physical defense and provides slight additional defenses against Holy, Fire, and Wither.
Agility – scales with weapons that use agility such as daggers, ranged weapons, and short swords, affecting the amount of damage they can deal. It also provides slight additional defenses against Holy, Fire, and Wither.
Endurance – focuses on defense, which is important for heavy weapons and heavy armor. Improves defense against physical damage, adds more resistance, and increases the number of items you can carry.
Vitality – increases health points (HP), allowing you to take more damage before dying. It also provides a slight increase in the number of items you can carry.
Radiance – scales with weapons that use Radiance, which affects the amount of damage it can deal. Improves your maximum mana and makes casting holy magic more powerful. It gives you some mild defenses against Holy, Fire, and Wither.
Hell – scales with weapons that use Inferno, which affects the amount of damage it can deal. Improves your maximum mana and makes casting fire magic more powerful. It also gives you slight defense boosts against Holy, Fire, and Wither.
Using our Stat Soft Caps guide above will allow you to make the most of these attributes without wasting valuable points.

Lords of the Fallen (2023) Max Level: Level Cap
Reaching the maximum level in Lords of the Fallen is no easy task. However, those who want to reach the highest heights may find that there may be a level cap that sets the limit on how strong they can become. What’s really important are the stat boosts you get from leveling up that have soft caps.
What is the maximum level in Lords of the Fallen?
Lords of the Fallen technically has no maximum level limit so that, in theory, you can level up forever. It is important to note that stats do not automatically increase per level and you must assign points manually. The problem is when you hit the soft limits of each stat that gives you diminishing returns.
Stat Limits Breakdown:
Damage and magic stats:
Softcover: 50/75
Maximum limit: 100 (although, beyond 75, the benefit is limited)
Vitality and Stamina Stats:
Softcover: 40/60
Maximum limit: 100 (but can increase beyond this; profits are minimal)
There are six stats each in Lords of the Fallen and each of them has a hard cap of 100. Because of this, you will only reach around level 540 at best, even if you choose the class with the lowest stats, Doomed, which starts at level 1 and already has every stat at 9. Once you reach level 540, depending on the class you choose, you will no longer be able to invest in the stats due to reaching the maximum limit.
It takes quite a while to reach level 100 in Lords of the Fallen and you don’t need to max out your character to finish the game. Pay attention to Lords of the Fallen’s soft stat caps so you know which attribute you want to increase each time you spend valuable Vigor to level up.
How to level up
Focus initially on your main stat of damage, vitality, and stamina.
Balance these stats up to 75 damage and 60 vitality/stamina.
Then, assign points to other damage types until they reach 75.
From there, increase everything to 100.
Any additional points can be distributed between vitality and stamina beyond 100. But remember, the benefits are minimal.
You can level up any Vestige by spending Vigor you gain from defeating enemies, selling items to vendors, or consuming Vigor Skulls. In Upgrade Character you will see how much Vigor is required to level up in the upper left corner of the screen represented by a purple bar.
Your character’s level and stats will carry over to New Game Plus. Although the stamina required to level up once you reach higher levels will be more demanding. You will have to carefully manage which stat you want to increase based on your build. You can respec your stats by talking to Pieta in the center after you have defeated her boss form. However, it will cost you Rebirth Chrysalis, which sells for 8000 Vigor in Molhu in the Umbral Realm, or if you’re lucky, you can find it by traveling.
It is a challenge to level up in Lords of the Fallen since dying means losing all the stamina you carry. You can acquire it again if you manage to return to the place where you died, but if you die again before doing so, it will disappear forever. To avoid this, you will have to level up any Vestige whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Lords of the Fallen (2023) Sanguinarix: How to Update
The Lords of the Fallen Sanguinarix is one of the most important consumable items, as it is your main healing tool. You can upgrade it to improve its effects and the number of uses by finding a certain item in the game. I’m going to teach you how to upgrade your Sanguinarix and where to find the upgrade materials needed to do so with this guide.
How to update Sanguinarix
Sanguinarix can be upgraded by speaking to Pieta in the center of Skyrest Bridge and selecting “Upgrade Sanguinarix”. You must give it Holy Quintessence to increase its power and the number of times you can use it. You will be shown how much Saintly Quintessence you need to upgrade it to the next level.
You initially start Lords of the Fallen with only three Sanguinarix, no matter which class you choose. And while they save lives, especially during boss fights, their effects aren’t as great early in the game. That will change if you take advantage of Pieta’s services to increase his restoration and healing charges.
The first time you will encounter Pieta is as a boss in front of the Skyrest Bridge at the beginning of the game. After defeating her, she goes down the stairs from the boss arena. She will appear in front of the Vestige as an NPC. From there, she will offer multiple services, one of which will be upgrading your Sanguinarix.
Upgrades made in Sanguinarix carry over to New Game+ and there are several upgrades you can make for this healing tool. The amount of Saintly Quintessence required per upgrade will increase the higher the upgrade level.
Sanguinarix Upgrade Levels
Where to Find Sanguinarix Enhancement Material
Saintly Quintessence is a rare upgrade material used to upgrade your Sanguinarix and can only be found in the Umbral Realm. This is the realm your character goes to when he dies or uses the Umbral Lamp to visit. You can get Saintly Quintessence after using Soulflay on Umbral Bellies.
To use Soulflay, take out the Umbral Lamp, attach a Umbral Belly, and charge it with R2/RT. You will get a Holy Quintessence afterwards.
Holy Quintessence can only be used to upgrade your Sanguinarix, so there’s no point in saving them for anything else. This upgrade material also cannot be dropped or shared between players in cooperative mode. It also cannot be farmed as Saintly Quintessence has specific locations.

Lords of the Fallen (2023) New Game Guide Plus
Does Lords of the Fallen have New Game Plus? Much like other souls, as it really does! New Game Plus is a feature that allows players to transfer progress to a new game present in Lords of the Fallen. Maybe you are interested in seeing the different endings or want to face bosses again with everything you have learned in your previous game. In this guide, I will teach you everything about the Lords of the Fallen New Game Plus feature.
How to unlock New Game Plus
Lords of the Fallen New Game Plus can be unlocked by completing the game at least once and obtaining any of three unique endings.
Radiant – All beacons have been cleaned.
pray – Not all beacons have been cleaned.
threshold – Completed a quest where you enter a hidden area in the Umbral Realm and use Seedpods to kill specific NPCs.
You will then be prompted for a new game after the final cutscene. Please note that accepting New Game Plus will immediately overwrite your current save file.
What’s moving to New Game Plus
Starting Lords of the Fallen New Game Plus carries over almost all of your progress from the previous game. Here’s what you can expect to keep in your New Game Plus:
Statistics: You maintain your character’s level and attributes.
gear parts: Weapons, armor, shields, accessories, etc. will be transferred.
Updates: All equipment upgrades such as weapons, armor, Umbral Flask and Sanguinarix are carried over.
Upgrade Materials: Unused Delarium Ore, Umbral Eyes, Rebirth Chrysalis, and Blacksmith Runes remain in your inventory.
Magic: You will be able to cast any spell you learned in your previous game and runes to place on your equipment.
Coins: Any unspent Sanctuary, Vigor, and Umbral Cleansing coins are carried over.
Cosmetic products: Armor tints and emotes
What is not transferred in New Game Plus
To start New Game Plus, there are a few things you’ll need to leave behind from your previous playthrough of Lords of the Fallen:
Key elements: It is necessary to re-acquire the key items needed to continue in the game.
Mission Items: All items in the Mission tab will disappear and you will have to reacquire them.
Upgrade Materials: All upgrade materials except unused Delarium, Umbral Eyes, Rebirth Chrysalis, and Blacksmith Runes ores will not be transferred.
Unlockable Features: You will have to give specific items to NPCs again in order to gain access to additional features, such as the Bowl of Remembrance for Molhu, in order to exchange items from the Remembrance boss.
Memories of the boss: You will have to fight and defeat all the Heresy bosses once again to obtain their Memories.
New game more changes
Lords of the Fallen New Game Plus features a couple of new changes not present in the first playthrough. To start, you unlock new classes depending on the ending you get:
End of the glow: Radiant Purifier
end of hell: Gentleman
End threshold: Putrid child
Additionally, enemies will also be tougher in New Game Plus. They have more health and deal more damage. Lords of the Fallen’s bosses will also be harder to beat, as you’ll have to earn their Remembrance again, which you can use on Molhu at Skyrest Bridge.
The entire world resets so you can do quests for NPCs again and get the associated rewards. However, unique items that you reacquire through loot or rewards as duplicates will be replaced with Vigor or Umbral Scouting.
By far the biggest change is the Vestige Waypoints, which are now all destroyed except for the one at Skyrest Hub. You will no longer be able to interact with them from Axiom Realm. Instead, you will receive these Vestige Seeds that you can use to set waypoints. These are difficult to obtain, as Vestige Seeds can only come from Sinner bosses or from using precious Vestige points to purchase the Molhu resource at the Skyrest hub in the Umbral Kingdom. The waypoints you create with Vestige Seeds also overwrite your previous locations, so be careful where you place them.
Should you immediately go to New Game Plus?
After beating the game and witnessing any of the three endings, Lords of the Fallen will ask you if you want to try New Game +1 after the final cutscene. You should not accept this message yet, as this will overwrite your save file and you will end up missing out on important items that you can still get.
Take the time to explore Mournstead and learn what you missed in your current game before continuing. Don’t worry, you can still start New Game Plus at any time by interacting with any vestige waypoint.
In case you forget to do something important, it is important to create a backup of your save file so that you can return to it at any time. There is a way to do this on PC by accessing the directory folder location where your Lords of the Fallen saves are stored.
Open File Explorer and type the following in the search bar at the top: “C:UsersAppDataLocalLOTF2SavedSaveGames”And this will take you to the place where the Lords of the Fallen save files are stored. Copy all .sav files as GeneralSave, GeneralSaveBackup, Save00and Save backup and then paste them into a different folder. Whenever you want to roll back to before you started New Game Plus, you can go back to the same folder directory location and overwrite the recent .sav files you backed up with.
